Overall Competition

  1. By taking part in the competition all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  2. All entrants will submit 250 words setting out their creative, entertaining and informative way of reviewing the Tiguan. All entries must be made online at www.thepeoplesreviewer.com and must be submitted by 9th July 2009. Nine entrants will be chosen to create a video of their experiences with a Tiguan. The decision of the judging panel regarding the selection of the nine final participants will be final and the Promoter will not enter into any correspondence about it.
  3. Full details about the competition are available on www.thepeoplesreviewer.com and entrants must comply with all of the competitions requirements.
  4. Filming shall take place on the weeks commencing 22.06.2009, 29.06.2009 and 20.07.2009. Entrants shall be advised by the Promoter of the date that they will be required to film their entry. No other dates shall be available and all entrants must ensure they are available during the dates stated.
  5. The Promoter shall provide one Tiguan vehicle to each participant for a period of 5 days in order to film their entry. The vehicle provided shall be delivered and collected by the Promoter. The vehicle will only be provided subject to each entrant signing the Promoter's vehicle loan agreement [PDF]. The Promoter will insure the vehicle for the 5 day loan period but the entrant shall be liable to pay up to the sum of £1,000 in respect of any damage caused to the vehicle whilst in the entrant's possession.
  6. The Promoter shall provide video filming equipment to each participant to film their video. Each entrant shall be responsible for any loss or damage to the video filming equipment while in their possession.
  7. On collection of the vehicle the Promoter shall collect the finished video and filming equipment.
  8. The finalist from each heat will be determined by the number of votes received on the website: thepeoplesreviewer.com. Each heat will last two weeks, voting for Heat 1 will commence on 06/07/09 and finish on 19/07/09, Heat 2 will commence on 20/07/09 and finish on 02/08/09 and Heat 3 from 03/08/09 until 16/08/09.
  9. Any video content of an illegal, offensive or defamatory nature will be immediately removed and the entrant will be automatically disqualified. All entrants must work to film their original idea which they submitted when making their video entries. Failure to comply with the original idea submitted by the entrant may result in disqualification.
  10. The three finalists will then compete in a final challenge according to a brief set by the Promoter. The Promoter will provide the brief to all finalists at the same time. A professional cameraman provided by the Promoter will be used for the final round of the competition. Conditions 5 - 7 inclusive will apply to the further provision of the vehicle.
  11. The final winner will be judged according to the amount of votes received on the thepeoplesreviewer.com website. The closing date for votes for determination of the final winner is 6th September 2009.
  12. All videos submitted will be edited by the Promoter.
  13. The vehicle must not be driven off road and must only be driven in the UK and not taken abroad, unless prior approval is received by the Promoter.
  14. All entrants are responsible for any fines, penalties or damage caused to the Tiguan vehicle whilst in their possession.
  15. All entrants must hold a full UK driving licence for over two years with no more than 8 current penalty points. Entrants should have no conviction on their licence in the last three years which resulted in disqualification and shall make available their licence to the Promoter on request.
  16. All entrants must be over the age of 25 from the start of filming.
  17. The first prize is a Tiguan 2.0 Sport with optional extras of Touchscreen Sat Nav, Panoramic Sunroof, Telephone Prep, Leather seating, Park Assist, rear view camera, cruise control and 2 Zone climate control. The prize includes six month's road tax and does not include insurance cover.
  18. Delivery of the vehicle to the competition winner will take place after the Promoter receives the full insurance documentation of the winner.
  19. The competition is not open to employees and their families of Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Limited, its suppliers, agents, retailer network or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
  20. The Promoter reserves its right to alter, amend or foreclose the promotion at any time and without further notice.
  21. No cash alternative and the prizes are non-transferable.

  23. The Promoter reserves the right to feature the names, photographs and location of the heat entrants and overall winner in future promotions.
  24. All entrants must co-operate fully with the Promoter and their agents in making arrangements. Failure to do so may render the prize void.
  25. Voting is limited to one vote per person. If Volkswagen UK suspects that multiple votes have been cast by one person these will be removed from the overall totals.

Fortnightly Voting Competitions

  1. No purchase necessary
  2. By taking part in the competition all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  3. Videos from the heat rounds of the Tiguan People's Reviewer Competition will be posted on the www.thepeoplesreviewer.com website every fortnight. The fortnightly periods shall start on 06/07/09 (Heat 1), 20/07/09 (Heat 2), 03/08/09 (Heat 3).
  4. Any individual that submits a vote for one of the video entries for the Tiguan People's Reviewer Competition on the www.thepeoplesreviewer.com website is eligible to enter this Tiguan People's Reviewer Competition
  5. Only one entry per applicant is permitted in any of the fortnightly periods.
  6. It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that the details they provide are accurate for the duration of the promotion.
  7. Winners will be drawn by an independent observer and the Promoter's decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into by the Promoter about the result of the draws.
  8. The final closing date for all entries for the voting competition into Heat 1 is midnight 19/07/09, into Heat 2 is midnight on 02/08/09, into Heat 3 is midnight on 16/08/09 and the final overall voting competition is midnight on 06/09/09.
  9. Winners will be contacted within 14 days after the draws. The competitions will be re-drawn if winners cannot be contacted after 21 days.
  10. The names and counties of winners will be announced on thepeoplesreviewer.com website within 14 days of the winner being contacted
  11. The prizes are: heat 1 voting prize is a year of luxury, heat 2 voting prize is a weekend in London, heat 3 voting prize is a weekend in Bath, and the final voting competition prize is a weekend in Venice. For full terms and conditions for each individual prize please visit the prizes page.
  12. No cash alternatives will be offered and the prizes are non-transferable.
  13. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prizes with prizes of an equivalent value.
  14. The offer can be withdrawn or varied at any time.
  15. Entrants must be over the age of 18 for entry into the voting competitions for heat 1, 2 and the final voting competition. Entrants must be over the age of 25 for entry into voting competition for heat 3.
  16. The Promoter reserves the right to alter, amend or foreclose the promotion at any time and without prior notice.

Overall Voting Competition - loan of a Tiguan

  2. By taking part in the prize draw all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions
  3. The prize is as follows: to have loan of a Volkswagen UK owned 2.0 Tiguan Sport to drive from 1st October until 30 December 2009 and includes road tax and insurance (subject to excess)
  4. Draw to be made from all entrants who have voted on the microsite thepeoplesreviewer.com for the Tiguan People's Reviewer competition during the competition period 6th July 2009 to 6th September 2009
  5. Vehicle delivery will be confirmed on receipt of a full driver's licence
  6. Prize is subject to the winner signing and agreeing the terms and conditions of the Loan Agreement [PDF].
  7. Open to UK residents only, vehicle must only be used within the UK and must not be taken abroad
  8. The offer can be withdrawn or varied at any time

  10. The competition will be redrawn if the winner cannot be contacted after 21 days.

Win a year of luxury

  1. By taking part in the prize draw all entrants are deemed to have accepted to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  2. The prize is a year of luxury and includes: 1 bottle of champagne or fine wine delivered every month for a year, 1 bouquet of fresh flowers delivered each month for a year, 1 spa therapist to administer 1 spa treatment (from a selected list) once every 2 months for a year and a subscription to DVD delivery service for 1 year (unlimited DVD rental).
  3. The prize includes delivery to mainland UK addresses, if the winner lives off the mainland the promoter reserves the right to amend the prize as required. Some remote addresses cannot be reached by the spa therapists, in such instances we will make arrangements for treatments to be taken at a local spa.
  4. Individual items and spa treatment times are subject to availability.
  5. Each month the winner can choose from a pre-selection of either a bottle of champagne or 3 bottles of fine wine, either red, white or mixed.
  6. Prizes are subject to availability. The Promoter reserves the right to vary details of the prize, or substitute a prize of greater or equivalent value should unforeseen circumstances require it.
  7. The prize will run for one year from the date the prize is claimed and will commence straight away.

Top London Show weekend

  1. By taking part in the prize draw all entrants are deemed to have accepted to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  2. The prize is for 2 people and includes 2 night's accommodation in a deluxe king room at the 5* Sanderson hotel with breakfast, a pre-theatre dinner on one evening at the hotel's Suka restaurant (up to £150 allowance), two tickets to a show or musical of the winner's choice, a London tour guide for the day, travel allowance for sightseeing of £100 and executive transfers between a mainline London station and your hotel.
  3. Travel on or over bank holidays and Christmas and New Year period is excluded.
  4. The prize winner is responsible for their travel between their home and their local train station.
  5. Full details of the prize will be forwarded to the winner after the draw has been made.
  6. The prize must be booked through the Promoters nominated agents and taken by 31/12/09, if a prize is not booked and taken by this date it will be declared invalid and will not be redistributed.
  7. The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.

Bath Indulgence Weekend and Weekend Loan of a Tiguan.

  1. By taking part in the prize draw all entrants are deemed to have accepted to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  2. The prize is for 2 people and includes 2 night's accommodation in an Imperial Suite at The 5* Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel with breakfast and full butler service (inc canapés on arrival, tour of the hotel, concierge etc), bouquet of flowers and bottle of champagne in your room, £150 dining allowance for the weekend and £100 spa or golf allowance for the weekend. The prize also includes the loan of a Tiguan for the weekend period from Friday to Sunday, subject to the winner agreeing and signing the terms and conditions of the Loan Agreement as provided by the Promoter.
  3. Travel on or over bank holidays and Christmas and New Year period is excluded.

  16. The loan of a Tiguan is to be taken up by UK residents only and the vehicle must not be taken abroad.

Venice Weekend

  1. By taking part in the prize draw all entrants are deemed to have accepted to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  2. The prize is for 2 people and includes 2 night's accommodation in a double bedroom at the 5* Luna Baglioni hotel with breakfast, Water taxi transfers between hotel and airport, £100 evening meal allowance, UK departure taxes and travel insurance.
  3. Travel on or over bank holidays and Christmas and New Year period is excluded.
  4. The prize winner is responsible for their travel between their home and their hotel. Prize excludes flights.
